MUNDOLOCOS HISTORY goes back to 2003 in Austria when we were infected by the colorful subcultures related to contemporary club music and “electronic music styles.” Primarily hooked by genres like NuJazz, Breakbeat and jazzy Downtempo, we later shifted to a more technoid and “clubby” approach (in about 2008).

However we always stayed with the “acoustical concept” making music: We barely used loop-machines and we improvised a lot. In collaboration we toured with many different great guest musicians and also video artists. On mundolocos stage one could find drums, percussion, bass, horns, keyboards, guitars, turntables, veejays and vocals.
In 2003/2004 we recorded our first live album, earned a single release on “Universal Music” and two newcomer awards at: “AUSTRIAN YOUNG /LIONS” 2003 | “NEWCOMER FESTIVAL” 2004. A year later we moved to Berlin.
Mundoloco toured Italy, Austria, Germany, Ukraine and Poland.
